The Radiant Child

I want to see this movie.

Basquiat is one of my favorite artists. After being introduced to him in high school by my teacher while I was writing a research paper on graffiti vs art, I have been fascinated by his life, what he did--and what he could have done if he had lived longer.

I will have to do some research, Interwebz to find out more info about this movie!

The Armory Show

Yesterday my parental-units were in the city with a group of their friends to visit the Armory Show. Lucky for me, I was invited to go with them as a VIP! Very special...didn't have to wait in any lines and I got a free book when I left!

I didn't realize how HUGE it was going to be--galleries from all over the world had booths set up at Piers 92 & 94 off of the West Side Highway. I could have wandered for hours. Beautiful pieces of modern art from all over the world--I don't think I saw one piece that I disliked. AMAZEBALLZ ART!

Next year I will definitely be going again, it's only $10 for students!

(and completely worth it)

Ch-ch-check out The Armory Show's website for more information!
