Again? Really?

It seems like every Monday it is super cold and rainy--not too conducive to staying awake after pulling an all nighter, confusing myself with Rhino, for my midterm this morning. Eee!

Thank goodness for Bergen Bagel and their fabulous bagel and coffee under $2.00 before 11 am deal--I wouldn't be alive right now without it!

Screwed.

All of this packing up of the cave to move has got me thinking about donating a lot...like A LOT of my existing stuff to Salvation Army. I mean, who really needs 4 fans, two ethernet cords, 3-4 iPod chargers, and over 4 bins worth of clothing??

Apparently, me. Or so I thought before I actually had to pack up all my stuff. HA.

So, today, dear Interwebz, I am pretending that I've cleared out all of the stuff I don't need (installation CD's for printers that have long since bitten the dust, for example) and am fake shopping for mah new apartment at one of my most favoritest stores: Anthropologie.

Replace lots of old stuff with lots of new stuff--that's how it works right?

I am so screwed.

Dramditidramz.

Hokay.

So, dahling Interwebz, last night I went to see Inception with a few friends--one had seen it twice before, and the rest of us were newbies to the Inception world. After the movie let out, most of the audience was kindof in a state of "Whhahhht?"/ "OMIGAWD. DID YOU SEE THAT?!"/"I don't get it" shock.

While walking to the car, we started to discuss the movie, as all movie goers do, which led to clashing opinions being thrown out--one of my friends, a writer didn't think that the script was any good, another one of my friends picked up on little nuances and was surprised and satisfied by her findings, and I, well, I was pretty much in a state of shock over the hotness of Leo & JGL. (Fo'realzies Interwebz, Leo, like a fine wine, gets better and more tasty with age.) After we drove home and parted ways, satisfied with our evening spent in the AC eating M&M's, we went to bed--I for one had a bit of trouble getting to sleep (I didn't want a war to be waged in my head while I had my 6 hours, thank you very much...)

Today, however there was a bit of drama between those who enjoyed and those who didn't...I've started to wonder if maybe the movie itself is a form of an "inception"--having people choose sides "pro-Inception" or "anti-Inception" and forcing them to argue it out thus giving the movie itself more press and precedence in our lives.

As you know, Interwebs, I don't like confrontation. I also believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I respect the fact that a few of my friends didn't think that Inception was as good as hyped--I agree that people made it out to be way more confusing than it actually was. I enjoyed the movie for it's cinematic qualities--the effects were beautiful, they enhanced the dreamworld, the casting was great--hello Joseph Gordon Levitt!--and I liked the fight scene in the anti-gravity. Pretty epicsawce, if I do say so myself.

As for the script, most action movies I've seen tend to have not-so-hot scripts. I go into the theater knowing that I'm going to see some hot men punch each other in the face and not hear epic award winning dialogue while they do it--and I'm okay with that. If in the future there is a movie that delivers both, sign me up!

So, Inception, I enjoyed you, but can't we just leave the drama at the theater where it belongs?

{Unless JGL is willing to make a house call. Then, I'm all for it.}

Rawr.

Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to sleep ALL DAY. (And not do anything else?)

I'm pretty sure that I feel that way today, except I have to go to work. And do work related things all day.

Growing up suckz, Interwebz.

Interwebz, do you know how long I've been waiting for this day? I would be ecstatic if this became legit. You have no idea!

So. Interwebz, ever had one of those days where you wake up really tired and then take a nap later in the day and then can't sleep at night when you actually want to?

Finalz

Once again, it is that time of the semester--FINALZ BETCH! Hence, my lack of posting.

In addition to finals for all of my classes, I've been working on creating my own website! Crazypants, I know.

It should be up and running soon! I'll let you know when it goes up. It should be within the next week, mailman/finals permitting...

Oh Mah Gawdz

Today was the longest day evah.

I woke up at 7 to finish packing and get ready to leave for the airportby 10, then got to the airport, checked in and through security within 45 minutes. Our flight wasn't until 1, so we had time to kill.

We got lunch, played some cards and then went to sit down by our gate. Around 1:05 we were wondering why they hadn't announced our flight, so we went to ask at the desk and we had COMPLETELY MISSED our flight. While sitting at the gate. Apparently they announced it several times and called our names. SEVEN OF US DIDN'T HEAR IT. SEVEN!

So redic. I've never missed a flight before, and it's particularly embarrassing that I missed it not by being stuck in traffic or sleeping late, but by sitting in the gate next door and not being able to hear an announcement. UUBER LAMESAUCE!

So, after a few hours..ok 6 and a half...of trying to catch a flight to California, we decided to cut our trip in half-ish...thus, tonight I am in Chi-town. City of deep dish, Kanye and the Cubs.

Tomorrow I will be flying to LA (heeeeeeerrrrrrppppfully.)

le sigh!

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

I have caved.

I have finally caved, Interwebz.

......I tweeted my first tweet. (I realize how redic. that sounds, but whatever.)

I'm looking at it as an experiment in social networking. Who will follow me today? What celebrity will say something crazy tomorrow?

I'll report back with my findings. Maybe.

Until then, why don't you do the unimaginable? Follow me on twitter? Here?

SHAME!

O.M.G. Snowmageddon

Snowmageddon has struck again.

RIDICULOUS! It's been snowing for the past day and it's not stopping until well into the day tomorrow. DAGGER!

I'm not the only one fearing the cold, nasty snow, Interwebz. Think of the poor weathermen and women! See what happens when they try to brave the snow and ice. FAIL.

Not Funsies.

So, my apartment feels like this:

WICKED COLD.

I'm wearing boots and 2 sweaters. WHY, INTERWEBZ, WHY!?

Going to the store to buy chicken noodle soup and hot chocolate! (And maybe a thermometer...I think I might be coming down with something, AGAIN. le sigh.)

Cross your fingers for me Interwebs!

It's Finals, Betch!

Merh.

Interwebz, it's finals time yet again...and I am not in the mood to work. Bad? I think so.

Oh well, time for a bit of time in the stude.

Sigh.
