"In the military is it acceptable, is it acceptable to be a cafeteria American, what I mean to say is, should soldiers and the government be able to pick and choice what we are fighting for in the Constitution? Or who we are fighting for. I wasn’t aware of this ambiguity in our Constitution. I thought the Constitution was the ultimate, I thought equality was non negotiable."
"Because I thought this was an ‘all you can eat’ buffet. This equality stuff, I thought equality meant everyone."
I am so proud of Lady Gaga. She's used her fame and popularity to stand up for her beliefs and show others that it's okay to do the same. Her speech, not only brought tears to my eyes, but pride in my fellow citizens who choose to have a voice, and not just to sit idly by; watching while important decisions are made for them.
Thank you, Lady Gaga for lending a voice to those who are forced not to have one by an outdated and unequal rule.
Equality is prime rib--that we all deserve a fair chance to eat.
That's pretty intense. I really want to print this out large scale--it's made me think about needs vs. wants and my recent move. Obviously, I wouldn't have been able to take, well, practically any of my things if I had to abide by this circular opening to move up a few flights.
